Sucker Punch - Epic Film

This movie has been given various bad reviews and a lot of people have been saying it was poorly made and all round not that good.

I would have to disagree,

"Sucker Punch" is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, and her incredible adventures blur the lines between what's real and what is imaginary.

When I saw the trailer I was hooked, it had hot women fighting and shooting, dragons and warriors, it was action packed and looked insane but it really does hide the true story of the film.

(Apologies for spoilers)

Emily Browning (Baby Doll)’s mum dies, she and her little sister are left in the care of her stepfather who abuses them, one night she pulls out a gun and goes to shoot him, she misses and the bullet ricochets and kills her sister, she is arrested then taken to a mental institution.

Her stepdad bribes the doctor to make sure she cannot remember anything; a lobotomy is planned for five days time.

Directed by Zach Snyder who also did Dawn of the Dead, 300, and Watchmen it really does fit in the mix.

With the lobotomy in five days Baby Doll plans an escape, with the use of an excellent yet possibly unstable imagination and a group of other mental patients, who happen to also be hot girls.

Even though the film is mostly fantasy, action and has a lot of twists, it is a deep film and does require you to open your mind, be able to pay attention, take it in and keep up with what is going on.

If you are male and into video games, fighting, action, fantasy I would definitely recommend this film for you.

I even had a freaky “Sucker Punch”-like dream last night which was amazing.

Anyway here it the trailer, but remember what I said, the trailer (I feel) doesn’t portray the actual story, it is more of a compilation of epic parts to get you hooked.
