Google+

Google have pulled the curtain back on Google+ (or Google Plus), a social network designed to go toe-to-toe with Facebook while emphasizing something Facebook doesn't: privacy.

This site looks great so far and I have only been on half hour or so, it is currently in a test mode where only invited people can get on and I only went and got myself a bloody invite!

Eh people say it is just like facebook, bahaha bore me later FB is lame, you have a billion friends you never speak to and the privacy settings over their are easily beaten.

Google + will focus more on select groups and circles for you to allocate people in, you will be able to share things, chat and even video chat within your circles, it is all looking very posh and confusing at the moment.

If you need an invite to Google+ inbox me your addy or comment if you like.

Yes "Invite" feature is down but the way I get you in is not via that. You simply click to view the comment I share(via email) then click the "learn more" button, jobs a gooden!

  3. Looks like it has potential to attract tons of people once it goes 100% public (remember when Gmail was invite only?) and become a powerhouse.

I would say that people are going to just stick to facebook, but then again, how many of us still use myspace anymore?

  4. Meh, I'm happy with Facebook. Don't use it all that much anyway.

  6. I'm fine with Facebook, I really like some of its features. This could be good, though. I never thought I'd leave Myspace and go to Facebook, but I did, so who knows.

  10. I'm not thrilled with it. All this social networking stuff is getting to be too much.

  11. Sent them, you click the email then click "view comment" (or something) then click "learn more" and it should get you in. Share, +1, comment if it works

  20. I'm definitely trying Google+ when I have access to it.

  21. I'll take an invite, google usually does a great job with their software (with the exception of Apps for google chrome).

A reason to not use facebook would be nice to have also.

"So and so has sent you a message using some external application!" Which wants access to my personal information, email address, etc... I mean really? Facebook is so incredibly stupid.

  31. I don't think that Google will become a threat to the likes of Facebook but I'm desperate to try Google+ out if I'd had the chance.

  32. Guys, I think Google have fixed the glitch now, some people are not getting the emails.

It worked yesterday I will still try send you things, but if it doesn't work please don't be mean.

    Regards,

    Behemoth.

  33. This is the first time I've heard of this, and it looks pretty good to me, especially given my dislike of Facebook. something that focuses on privacy can't be too bad.

  34. I finally got both the emails that you sent me late last night.. when I first tried it said there was no available spots or whatever, tried again this morning and it worked. Seems like you just have to keep checking for a spot to open up.

Haven't got to spend much time on it, but did take a peek at the demo and it interested me. Not sure it'll ever beat out facebook, but I'm up for one more site to waste my time on.

Thanks for inviting me, and great blog <3

  35. Hi!

I received your invite this morning and it worked like a charm! Thank you very much for taking the time to invite me (and all others here!)

    Best regards,
    B.

  36. I finally got around to checking it out man, and it seems like this thing is gonna catch on and crush Facebook (in time, of course).

Is it too late to try to get a job w/ Google? Hmm...
