I feel bad for neglecting this place. I am not spending a third as much time on my PC as I once was, its rare I get time to sit and think let alone think of interesting things to write about.
Canny sleep tonight so just popping on to suggest a film for you all, if anyone is still with me, to watch.
I am recommending you all try and watch Blackfish. I have recently and I experienced a variety of emotions throughout. Its not a film for those easily upset or angered because I can assure you it will make you hurt on the inside, they'll probably be tears and an anger will surely be felt, even if just a little.
I can see why 'Blackfish' got a 98% on RottenTomatoes. It's a harrowing documentary about Killer Whales in captivity entwined with plenty of real footage of these whales attacking and killing humans at SeaWorld, as well as interviews with past trainers and witnesses to these events.
The film is an indictment of SeaWorld, its safety practices, its animal husbandry, its mendacity, and its whole reason for being. SeaWorlds attempts to cover it up and pass the blame is shameful to say the least. Blackfish is definitely worth a watch. Be warned it's a very emotionally captivating hour and a half that will change your outlook on animals in captivity.
Maybe I'll return soon, who knows.
Behemoth.

Aspiring Vet: A friend of mine.
Hey folks,
Wow it's been long since I last hit up this place, I remember the days when I would update you daily on my day to day events, sadly I don't find myself with time to write these days, which is a shame.
Hopefully I will get up to some crazy shit in the near future that I can tell tales of.
Anyhow back to the topic in hand...
My friend Lucy is an aspiring vet currently studying at Liverpool university. Vet school can be expensive though so she is in need of funds to help with studies.
If y'all could check out her blog to get to know a bit about her or the website to help raise funds have a gander here
God Speed.

The Olympic Dream is Alive.
I know I know, I really have been leaving it too long to write on this thing, but with a new job and spending a lot of time away from my PC now I am back home for summer it's tricky for me to get involved on the bloggerverse.
I really felt the need to bring some excellent news to you guys (whoever is still reading, yeah you!) you see my brother Charles Cousins was officially selected today to represent Great Britain in the coming Olympic Games, and I could not be more proud of him.
"Charles Cousins is one of five rowers with Cambridge connections to be called up to the Great Britain Olympic squad.
Cousins, who writes a blog for the News website, will compete in the quadruple sculls, alongside Stephen Rowbotham, Tom Solesbury and Matthew Wells"- Cambridge Evening News
We kinda knew deep down that him and the lads would make it, they have been putting a ton of effort in lately and really deserve the shot at an Olympic Gold Medal.
I remember when he first started out and we went to watch him row in an indoor arena in Birmingham, the place was packed with youngsters starting out and it was an exciting experience, the race started, we saw his little boat icon on the leaderboard racing across the screen, suddenly he jumps off the machine and throws up in a nearby bucket/bin, we are all thinking "Oh god what's happened" turns out he had finished the race but got a little sea sick on the way,
Ever since then he has been such a great inspiration, not only to me but to many others in the rowing scene and Team GB as a whole.
He's visited schools, been the local celeb for local events and is always up for sharing his enthusiasm for the sport to the youngsters who are taking it up.
In 2008 Charles narrowly missed a chance at the competing in Olympics however I can only see this as a good thing, it really has given him and the lads time to work their butts off to get the strokes and state of mind down to a tee; that in hand with the determination to make it this time around.
The hours put in, all the training all the sweat, it really has paid off and they're on their way to *fingers crossed* an Olympic medal.
As a brother there is nothing that pleases me more, my sister has recently gotten engaged, my brother is in the Olympics....Bring on the Summer!

Competition Winners!
I decided to pick 6 winners folks and they are as follows, in no particular order might I add.
The reason I picked these are because they really stuck out to me and I really appreciated the effort that must of been put into creating them.
Note: If you won and submitted more than one (pretty sure most of the winners did) I really appreciated all the entries you sent but I picked the one shown because I loved it the most.
I shall be emailing all winners to sort out prizes.
It's been a fun competition. All entries can be seen here by facebook users. (will add to blog soon)
